Hi, I'm Marie!

Welcome to Practical N Trendy! I'm so glad you're here.

I'm a wife, a mom of six — three boys and three girls — and I've been married to my husband, Rhett Garner (aka the Toe Juice Guy!), for 25 years.

Like so many women, I've spent a lot of my life taking care of everybody else. And while being a wife and mom is one of the greatest blessings in my life, I've learned that it's easy to put ourselves last.

But here's what I believe:

Being a mom and wife doesn't mean we have to give up feeling feminine, beautiful, and confident.

That's why I created Practical N Trendy.

I believe you can dress modestly and still be fashionable. You can be feminine and still be practical. And you can look put together while living a very real, very busy everyday life.

I'm here to share modest, feminine clothing and style inspiration that works for real life — whether you're running errands, going to church, meeting a friend for lunch, or enjoying a date night.

I was born in the USA to Mexican immigrant parents, making me a first-generation American. I'm grateful for the values my family gave me — family, hard work, faith, and making the most of what you have.

My faith in God is also an important part of who I am. I'm not perfect and I certainly don't have life figured out. I'm just a woman trying to grow, love my family well, and enjoy this season of life.

So if you're a woman who sometimes feels like you've lost a little bit of yourself underneath all the responsibilities of everyday life, I hope you'll feel at home here.
